COMPANY TEAMS

The Climb for Nature is WWF-Canada's biggest yearly fundraising event, bringing together individuals and workplaces from across the country to step up for wildlife and nature through the iconic CN Tower Climb, the stadium climb at BC Place Climb in Vancouver and a self-directed Anywhere Climb.

Participating as a corporate team is a fun and meaningful way to engage employees and support workplace wellness while making an impact for nature.  Many organizations come back year after year, making the climb a memorable team-building tradition. Below you'll find answers to some of the most common questions for corporate teams.

COMPANY TEAM FAQs

How can our company participate in the Climb for Nature?

add remove

Companies are an essential part of the climb! We have enthusiastic companies joining us in two ways: by climbing or through volunteering at the climbs.

Does our company need to create a team? How many members should a team have?

add remove

Companies who join the Climbs for Nature form teams with a minimum of 2 climbers and up to as many as you’d like! The more climbers, the more excitement, competition and fundraising for nature!

If your team is expected to have more than 50 climbers, please contact events@wwfcanada.org, for help with the process!

How do we register and create a team?

add remove

During registration you will be asked if you would like to create or join a team. Here you can create your team and set up your team fundraising page.

We recommend appointing a team captain and registering under a fun name that references your company. The team captain will be the person that receives updates via email and will be the general point of contact with WWF.

The team captain can purchase tickets on behalf of all their climbers online, or create a team and invite others to join it via a URL link.

Start the process here.

Can I create a company team even if I’m not going to attend?

add remove
Yes, you can create a team, even if you don’t intend to join the climb. After completing your registration, just to be sure to click “I will not be attending” on your personal page on the Climb website

How can our company sponsor our team?

add remove

To encourage employees to sign up, companies often “sponsor” climbers. There are many ways to do this:

  • Your company can cover the registration fees and/or minimum fundraising amounts for all climbers, or a fixed number of climbers:

CN Tower Climb:

Youth: $15 registration fee & $75 minimum fundraising

Adults: $25 Registration fee & $125 minimum fundraising.

BC Place Climb:

Youth$10 Registration fee & $30 minimum fundraising

Adults: $20 Registration fee & $50 minimum fundraising.

Anywhere Climb:

There are no registration fees - just a suggested fundraising amount of $100 which also qualifies you for the first fundraising reward – the climb t-shirt!

  • Your company can cover a portion of the registration fees (50% is typical).
  • Your company can match employee donations directly or through employee matching programs on platforms like Benevity.
  • Company donations can be made to each climber’s profile or to the team page and split evenly between all climbers.

add remove

Yes! If you are donating through a company matching program please email events@wwfcanada.org and let us know the amount that you are donating, the matching platform, your company name, your team name (if applicable), along with a screenshot of the donation amount.

Once we receive this information, the updated fundraising amount will be displayed on your dashboard within 1-2 business days.

Do you have resources we can share to get our staff excited to climb?

  • Here are some fundraising tips and resources your team can use to help spread the word and share their fundraising activities in their communities and on social media!
  • Watch and share this video with your colleagues to show them how their climb contributes to WWF-Canada's conservation work.
  • Ask us about climb-focused webinars & office visits.

add remove

Friends and family are welcomed and encouraged to join in on the fun!

Please note that there is a minimum age requirement of 13 on climb day for CN Tower Climb participants; however, family and friends can use the elevator and meet you at the top of the tower by  purchasing Sunrise Special tickets. These tickets must be purchased on the day of the climb (from 6am to 9:30 AM) at the CN Tower ticket desk.

The BC and Anywhere Climbs have no age limit - family and friends of all ages can climb!

Where do our donations go?

add remove

The funds you raise will support Regenerate Canada, WWF-Canada’s 10-year plan to restore at least one million hectares of degraded habitat and steward at least 100 million hectares of ecologically-rich ecosystems. Those ecosystems store carbon and provide essential wildlife habitats, so while you climb for nature, you’re also supporting our efforts to bring back nature, reverse wildlife loss and fight climate change.

Together we can create a future where wildlife, nature and people thrive.
