I am fundraising for nature and wildlife
I've committed to Double Bowl Climbing the stands of BC Place in the WWF Climb for Nature in October to support World Wildlife Fund (WWF) - Canada. I am totally up for this physical and fundraising challenge!
While I am doing my part, I am counting on you to help me reach my fundraising goal. The funds I raise will help support WWF-Canada's efforts to restore nature, reverse wildlife loss and fight climate change.
The World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF) is the world's largest conservation organization. Founded in 1961 and headquartered in Gland, Switzerland, it works in nearly 100 countries to protect endangered species, preserve natural habitats, and stop environmental degradation. It is famously recognized by its giant panda logo.
Mission and Goals:
- Conserve biodiversity: Protect wild animals and unique natural places.
- Promote sustainability: Ensure the use of renewable natural resources is sustainable.
- Reduce pollution: Fight wasteful consumption and harmful environmental impacts.
Key Focus Areas:
- Wildlife: Reversing the decline of vulnerable and endangered species.
- Forests and Oceans: Safeguarding critical habitats like marine ecosystems and major river basins.
- Climate Change: Promoting nature-based climate solutions to lower carbon emissions.
Local Presence:
- Operating locally through World Wildlife Fund Canada, which focuses on protecting Canadian species at risk, restoring Arctic and marine habitats, and fighting climate change.
Together we can Regenerate Canada.
