My CN Tower Climb for WWF‑Canada: The Mountain I Can Climb - MAY 2, 2026
For years I carried around a dream: “When I turn 50, I’m going to climb Mount Kilimanjaro.”
Well… 50 came and went. Life was busy, wonderful, complicated — and Kilimanjaro stayed exactly where it was: on another continent, untouched by me.
I’ve also always said “Someday I want to do the CN Tower Climb”. And here we are. With 60 now just around the corner, and with Kilimanjaro clearly not happening for this milestone either, this year I’m choosing a challenge I can take on.
The CN Tower. 1,776 steps. 144 floors. A different kind of summit.
I’m climbing the CN Tower in support of WWF‑Canada — an organization doing critical work to protect wildlife, restore habitats, and fight climate change right here at home. If I can turn my milestone birthday into something meaningful — something that helps protect the planet we all share — then that feels like the perfect way to celebrate.
Why I’m climbing
Because nature needs us. Because the world is changing fast. Because I want my “mountain moment” to matter. And because if I’m going to huff and puff my way up 1,776 steps, it might as well be for a cause that inspires me.
How you can help
If you’re able, I’d be grateful for your support — no matter the amount. Every donation helps WWF‑Canada protect species, restore ecosystems, and build a future where nature thrives.
Here’s to climbing the mountains we can climb — at any age.
Thank you for considering supporting my climb on May 2, and for supporting WWF‑Canada.
