WWF Climb for Nature x CN Tower

Please support me in fundraising for nature and wildlife!

I've committed to climbing the CN Tower in May to support WWF-Canada. I am totally up for this physical and fundraising challenge! My goal time for the climb is sub-22 minutes.

While I am doing my part, I am counting on you to help me reach my fundraising goal. The funds I raise will help support WWF-Canada's efforts to restore nature, reverse wildlife loss and fight climate change.

Together we can Regenerate Canada.

Nerves

Saturday 18th Apr
Last fall, I did the climb for the first time with United Way; and it was one of the most rewarding things I've ever done. But, the months leading up to it were anything but enjoyable.

I was a nervous wreck leading up to the climb. Every time I thought about it, I'd be so nervous that I would get itchy. At home, in the gym, and at work. Anytime, anywhere. I expected it to be a painful, miserable experience. Thankfully, I couldn’t have been more wrong.

It was an amazing experience. Truthfully, I do not remember much about the actual climb. I mentally checked out after 5 minutes and can't recall anything significant. However, the feelings I experienced after completing it will never leave my mind. Hearing my mom cheer me on as I walked out made me emotional. Despite the climb being an individual challenge, it made me closer to the ones I love.

This time around, my nerves aren’t related to experiencing pain or being short of breath. It's because I hope to feel just as accomplished and proud of myself as I did the first time.
