WWF Climb for Nature x CN Tower

I am fundraising for nature and wildlife

I've committed to climbing the CN Tower in April to support WWF-Canada. I am totally up for this physical and fundraising challenge!

While I am doing my part, I am counting on you to help me reach my fundraising goal. The funds I raise will help support WWF-Canada's efforts to restore nature, reverse wildlife loss and fight climate change.

Together we can Regenerate Canada.

What I do to keep motivated

Done this climb at least 6 times.  Have some experience.
So at the beginning of the climb, you're exited to and have adrenaline pumping and you are doing everything to slow yourself down as you know this won't last.   When you hit floor 44, you realize, you're tired and still have 100  more flights to go.  And yes, they floors are numbered.
Now, I'm not exactly what you'd call "in shape" so I do need to rest as I go up.  My first time I climbed, I did it in 28 min... last year, well that was much longer.  So I take brakes usually on the landing just below the paramedics/firefighters (yes, there are paramedics every 10 flights or so for safety).  Half way up, you start to make conversation with people as you rest.  Short, out of breath conversations but still nice to chat.
Around floor 120 is where I get into my Dory mantra. Just keep swimming, just keep climbing.
And before you know it, you've reached the end and you tap your timer and want to celebrate.. but not too quick... you have 4 more flights before you come out onto the CN Tower Pod and to cheers and water.  Its a great feeling and you forget how exhausted you are and just have a big smile on your face.
